Driver’s Training Program

CATCH Initiative: Driver’s Training Program

The CATCH Initiative is proud to sponsor a comprehensive driver’s training program designed to help minors in California obtain their driver’s license. This program provides essential resources and support to ensure young drivers have the education and skills necessary to drive safely and responsibly as they transition into adulthood.

Program Details:

  • DMV-Approved Driver’s Education (30 hours): Participants will receive 30 hours of DMV-approved driver’s education, which covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of driving. This includes traffic laws, safe driving practices, and essential knowledge that helps foster a strong foundation for becoming a responsible driver.
  • Learner’s Permit Support: The program helps minors navigate the process of obtaining their learner’s permit, providing guidance and assistance every step of the way. Our team will ensure that participants meet the eligibility requirements and are prepared for the written knowledge test.
  • Behind-the-Wheel Training (6 hours): As part of the program, each participant will complete the required 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel driver’s training. This hands-on experience allows minors to practice safe driving techniques under the guidance of a certified instructor, ensuring they gain the confidence and skills necessary for safe driving.
  • Ongoing Support: From start to finish, the CATCH Initiative provides continued support, from helping participants through the learner’s permit process to offering guidance on how to prepare for the driving test. We are committed to helping young drivers succeed, and we stay with them throughout their journey.

Program Benefits:

  1. Career and Life Goals: Having a driver’s license is often an essential step toward independence, and it can open doors to greater opportunities, such as reliable transportation for work, school, and extracurricular activities. By providing this training, we help young people achieve their career goals and set themselves up for success as they step into adulthood.
  2. Safety on the Road: Our program emphasizes the importance of road safety and responsible driving. By educating young drivers, we aim to reduce traffic accidents and promote safer driving habits in our communities. Participants will learn about defensive driving, hazard awareness, and safe driving practices to ensure their safety and the safety of others on the road.
  3. Community Impact: The CATCH Initiative believes that safer, well-educated drivers contribute to a stronger and safer community. By equipping minors with the skills to be responsible drivers, we are not only supporting their personal growth but also helping create less hazardous roadways for everyone.

In conclusion, the CATCH Initiative’s Driver’s Training Program is more than just a path to obtaining a driver’s license; it is a crucial part of helping young people reach their potential, transition smoothly into adulthood, and contribute to safer communities. With a focus on safety, skill-building, and continued support, we’re committed to empowering the next generation of responsible, confident drivers.
